About Stock Snapshot

We built Stock Snapshot for people who want a clear, evidence-based read on a stock before they act, without opening a brokerage's dashboard of raw data or paying for a monthly research subscription they'll barely use.

Who's behind this

Stock Snapshot is written and maintained by Bobby Daniels. Before this, he spent nearly 25 years in operations leadership at a Fortune 100 company, managing P&L and day-to-day operations across five separate business units nationally — reading numbers, spotting what's actually driving performance, and making calls under real accountability, not just watching a chart from the sidelines. He holds a B.S. in Applied Science & Technology.

He's not a licensed financial advisor, and Stock Snapshot isn't personalized financial advice — see the disclaimer below. What it is: AI-assisted analysis to pull and reconcile technical, fundamental, sentiment, and risk signals fast, with every report personally reviewed before it goes out. Not a black-box AI score, and not just someone who writes about the market — a person who's actually had to make operating decisions with incomplete information, checking the work before you see it.

Why we started this

Most research tools are built for professionals managing dozens of positions. They're powerful, but overwhelming if you just want a straight answer on one ticker you're actually considering. And most advisory relationships want a retainer or an ongoing fee before they'll even look at your idea.

Stock Snapshot is the middle ground: a single, flat-fee report that pulls together technical, fundamental, sentiment, and risk analysis into one composite Trade Score, delivered as one clean PDF you can act on immediately.

How we work

No subscriptions required. No advisory calls. You pay once, send us your ticker, and we run the full analysis stack, reconciling technical, fundamental, sentiment, risk, and thesis signals before they go into your report.

How the Trade Score is calculated

The Composite Trade Score isn't a black box. It's a weighted average of five category scores (each scored 0-100), combined like this:

CategoryWeightWhat it covers
Technical Strength25%Support/resistance, RSI, MACD, moving averages, volume, pattern quality
Fundamental Quality25%Valuation vs. sector, growth, margins, balance sheet, competitive moat
Sentiment & Momentum20%News tone, analyst consensus, momentum signals
Risk Profile15%Volatility, drawdown scenarios, correlation, position sizing
Investment Thesis15%Bull/bear case, catalyst timeline, entry/target/stop-loss levels

Composite Trade Score = (Technical × 25%) + (Fundamental × 25%) + (Sentiment × 20%) + (Risk × 15%) + (Thesis × 15%). The grade (A–F) and Buy/Hold/Sell signal are derived from the composite score. You can see it applied to a real company in the sample report.

Who it's for

  • Self-directed investors who want a second, evidence-based opinion before buying
  • People holding a position who want an objective read, not just their own confirmation bias
  • Anyone who wants a clear bull/bear case and entry/exit levels, not raw data

One thing we're not: a licensed financial advisor. Stock Snapshot is educational and research content only, not personalized financial advice. Always do your own due diligence and consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.
